We long to see churches strengthened, pastors encouraged, and everyday believers equipped to make disciples in their families, communities, and nations. Our vision is simple: healthy disciples multiplying healthy disciples for the glory of God.

To multiply disciples, equip leaders, and mobilize the Church to faithfully proclaim and live out the gospel—locally and globally.
Why We Exist
We believe the local church is God’s primary instrument for His mission in the world. Yet many believers and pastors — especially in under-resourced contexts — serve faithfully with little access to training or support. Our heart is to come alongside the Church with humility, biblical clarity, and practical tools so that disciples are formed, leaders are strengthened, and communities are transformed by the gospel.
Who We are
Awaken Kingdom Ministries (AKM) is a Christian discipleship and leadership ministry committed to equipping believers and leaders who love God deeply, handle His Word faithfully, and serve His Church fruitfully. We exist to multiply disciples, equip leaders, and mobilize the Church to faithfully proclaim and live out the gospel—especially in places where access to training and resources is limited.
What We Do
Discipleship: We help believers grow in their knowledge of God, His Word, and their calling as followers of Jesus.
Leadership Formation: We equip pastors and ministry leaders with foundational training in Bible, theology, ministry, and disciple-making.
Mobilization & Mission: We encourage the Church to live on mission — reaching the lost, serving the vulnerable, and making disciples wherever God has placed us.
Discipleship & Ministry Leadership Training
Our six-month Biblical Discipleship & Ministry Leadership training is a foundational formation experience for ministry leaders who want to grow in Christ, understand the Bible more deeply, and serve the Church more faithfully.
This is not about creating elite leaders — it’s about forming faithful disciples who will love Jesus, love His Word, and love His people.
About The Founders
John and Babbrah are the founders of Awaken Kingdom Ministries. Born and raised in Kenya, they each came to faith in Jesus Christ during their teenage years and have been serving through local churches and parachurch ministries ever since. They met in New Jersey, were married in 2018, and are now raising two young children.
In 2020, they moved to Dallas, Texas, to pursue theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary. Babbrah earned a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies, and John earned a Master of Theology (ThM).
Awaken Kingdom Ministries grew out of an earlier young adult Bible study and worship ministry called Let’s Grow Together. Through years of discipleship, ministry, and serving alongside church leaders, the Lord deepened their burden to see believers rooted in Christ and leaders strengthened for faithful ministry.
Today, through Awaken Kingdom Ministries, John and Babbrah seek to encourage, equip, and mobilize believers, pastors, and ministry leaders for discipleship, leadership development, and participation in God’s mission among the nations.
