John and Babbrah were born and raised in Kenya, met in New Jersey, and married in 2018. They are blessed with two young children, a daughter who is three, and a son who is one year old.  Together, they have been devoted to serving the Lord since receiving the gift of salvation in our teenage years. They have since been actively participating in various local church ministries.

In 2020, they took a step of faith to go to Dallas Theological Seminary to prepare for a lifetime of ministry. John is pursuing a Master of Theology, focusing on Pastoral Theology and Practice. Babbrah is pursuing a Master’s in Biblical and Theological Studies. They hope and plan to proceed to full-time pastoral and missionary ministry both in Kenya and the USA. They are passionate about making disciples. They see this happening through partnerships with local churches, church planting, and leading teaching and worship events.

We are thankful to the Lord for entrusting us with the vision of Awaken Kingdom Ministries, which aims to awaken people from all nations and tongues to worship God in truth and spirit. Our focus is especially on reaching people with the gospel, teaching them the truth, loving them well, meeting felt needs and leading them in worship.
